Attendance is an important part of student success. When students are at school, they are able to participate in learning, build relationships, and stay connected to their school community. Even missing just a couple of days each month can affect a student's progress over time.
Families play an important role in helping students attend school regularly and arrive ready to learn.

Health Services
What school nurses do
School nurses and health aides work with students, families, and staff to provide basic health care during the school day, including:

Assessing illness or injury

Providing basic first aid

Monitoring students who become ill at school

Supporting students with health needs so they can participate fully in school
When families are contacted
If a student is determined to be ill or injured and needs to go home or receive additional care, a parent or guardian will be contacted. Please keep your phone number and emergency contact information current with your child’s school.
