At Harriet Thompson Elementary School, we believe that every student can learn, grow, and achieve success. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where all students feel valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Strong partnerships between students, families, staff, and the community are at the heart of everything we do. We take pride in building meaningful relationships that support student learning, encourage family engagement, and foster a sense of belonging for every child.

Throughout the school year, Harriet Thompson provides a variety of enriching opportunities for students and families. Annual fundraisers, including our Walk-a-Thon and upper-grade fundraising activities, help support educational experiences such as field trips and special learning opportunities.

To recognize student achievement and celebrate success, we hold quarterly TEAM (Thompson Explorers Achieve More) Assemblies. During these celebrations, students are honored for outstanding attendance, positive character, academic effort, and demonstrating our school expectations of being Safe, Respectful, Engaged, and Kind.

Harriet Thompson is also proud to partner with Save the Children through our after-school program, providing additional academic support, enrichment activities, and opportunities for students to thrive beyond the school day. Together, we are building a school community where every child is encouraged to wonder, learn, belong, and succeed.
